1 year quarantine at LIFO

“During this one year of quarantine, life didn’t pass us by; it did something better. It sat us down on a chair and said, ‘Look, you can experience everything differently. You can reset and start again—maybe with pain, but better this time.’ We lost people, we cried, we loved, we cursed, we got angry; we called the little park ‘our park,’ and a short walk ‘a breath.’ Let’s not forget—this is the only thing I’m afraid of—getting lost in our dreamlike worlds. I want us to cross life’s threshold again, not full of needs, but full of joys, so they can be shared.”

Her ID says Maria Mylona. The illustrator and graphic designer Rima Lyma was born in Patras. ‘I graduated from AKTO with a very good grade so I could continue drawing for children. I depict images from my subconscious—places I visited and stories I heard. This is my way of living; I don’t know any other,’ she says.
